Regulatory production in the Canary Islands
By preparing this work, Corporación 5 aims to answer the question of whether there is an excess of regulations in the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands.
To this end, the production of legal norms in the Canary Islands, their evolution and range, has been analyzed. In addition, a comparison has been made of the current trends and priorities in this area at the national and European level. Finally, the possible consequences and guidelines to follow are specified to prevent excess regulations from being an obstacle to the generation of growth and employment in the Canary Islands.
CONCLUSIONS
It is necessary to act to eliminate unnecessary bureaucratic burdens, that generate additional cost and effort for companies and citizens.
Improving legislation does not mean deregulating, but reduce the unnecessary, recast when possible and introduce Updated standards that adapt to an increasingly changing reality.
A more simplified legislation contributes to better understanding and application of it, favoring the legal certainty.
Excess regulation negatively affects its legitimacy, credibility and applicability.
The relationship between regulation and technological advances It is bidirectional, since these allow the efficiency and agility of governments to be evaluated, at the same time that regulation plays a fundamental role in the adaptation and dissemination of new technologies.
The legislation must be a tool to contribute to the fulfillment of economic, social and environmental objectives, and not an obstacle that harms society in terms of growth and employment.

- Set the 2×1 criterion, that is, eliminate 2 standards for each new standard approved.
