Guadassuar, Valencia – April 2025
At the end of last April, the Valencian town of Guadassuar hosted the Spanish Olympic 30M Frontenis Championship – Honor Division, bringing together the best pelotaris in the country in a very high-level competition.
Among the notable protagonists were Adrián and Hugo León, from the Real Club Náutico de Tenerife and sponsored by Corporation 5, who reached the championship final, demonstrating once again its excellent competitive level.
In Saturday's semifinal, the brothers had to face a tough match that started uphill, after losing the first set. With a physical and intense game, they managed to come back, forcing a third set that finally gave them the victory. The high pace of play ended up physically affecting the rival players, which prevented them from finishing the match.
The final, held on Sunday morning, pitted the Tenerife team against their own teammates from the World Champion National Team. Despite a very close first set, Hugo's physical discomfort, carried over from the previous day, affected their performance. The unforced errors began to weigh, and the match finally decided in favor of the rival team.
Although they did not manage to revalidate the title they achieved in 2022, the León brothers once again climbed onto the national podium, reaching their fourth consecutive final in a Spanish Championship, which consolidates their position as undisputed leaders of Spanish frontenis.
This new success guarantees their qualification for the European Championship, which will be held next month September, an event in which Adrián and Hugo León will compete with ambition and hope of winning a title that still eludes them.
U!
