In May 2024, overnight stays in hotel establishments increased by 11.1% compared to the same month in 2023, reaching 35.7 million. The Hotel Price Index rose 8.1%, and the average billing per occupied room was 111.7 euros, 9.2% more. The main destinations for residents in Spain were Andalusia, Catalonia and the Valencian Community, while non-residents preferred the Balearic Islands, Catalonia and the Canary Islands. Hotel occupancy stood at 61.7%.
