Leading indicator of the Consumer Price Index (CPI). August 2024
The CPI leading indicator places its annual variation at 2.2% in August, six tenths below that registered in July. The annual rate of the leading indicator of core inflation decreases by one tenth, to 2.7%.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) is a statistical measure of the evolution of the prices of goods and services consumed by the population residing in family homes in Spain.
The set of goods and services that make up the shopping basket is basically obtained from family consumption and the importance of each of them in the CPI calculation is determined by said consumption.
