León Brothers Crowned Runners-Up at the Spanish Frontenis Championships and Qualify for the European Championship

Guadassuar, Valencia – April 2025
At the end of April, the town of Guadassuar in Valencia hosted the Spanish Frontenis Olympic 30M Championship – First Division, bringing together the top frontenis players from across the country for a high-level competition.

Among the standout athletes were Adrián and Hugo León, representing the Real Club Náutico de Tenerife and sponsored by Corporación 5, who reached the final of the championship, once again proving their exceptional competitive form.

On Saturday, in a tough semifinal, the León brothers started off by losing the first set. However, through sheer physical and strategic effort, they managed to fight back, forcing a third set that ultimately gave them the victory. Their relentless pace took a toll on their opponents, who were unable to finish the match due to physical exhaustion.

The final, held Sunday morning, saw the Tenerife duo face their own teammates from the World Champion National Team. Despite a tightly contested first set, Hugo’s lingering physical discomfort from the previous day began to impact his performance. Unforced errors crept in, and the match ultimately slipped away.

Although they didn’t reclaim the title they won in 2022, the León brothers once again reached the Spanish Championship final for the fourth consecutive time, reaffirming their status as leading figures in the national frontenis scene.

Their outstanding performance has earned them a spot in the upcoming European Championship, set to take place in September, where they will aim to capture a title that still eludes them.
